The Peated Highlander Ardmore, a distinctive single malt from the Highlands, experienced a significant relaunch under the ownership of Beam Global. Beam Global acquired the Ardmore Distillery in 2005, taking over from the previous owners, Allied Domecq, and embarked on revitalizing this peated Highland whisky. For many years, the primary expression available from Ardmore had been the Ardmore Traditional Cask, a beloved classic among whisky enthusiasts for its smoky, rich character. However, in 2014, Beam Global introduced a new expression, Ardmore Legacy, as the replacement for the Traditional Cask, marking a new chapter for the distillery’s offerings. This shift signified not only a refreshed branding but also an evolution in the distillery’s approach to showcasing its Highland peat style, combining traditional influences with a modern touch.
